Our StoryThe Making of the Palazzo

Welcome to the Palazzo...

Salve! / Ciao a tutti! My name is Pino. Over the past eight years my family & I have strove to build a successful Italian restaurant in The Villa, Clitheroe. Using locally sourced produce, our aim has simply been to offer diners authentic Italian & Mediterranean cuisine - often with a twist! Based on the principles of family values, friendship & good food, we have created a unique setting in which to enjoy the latter. Now we are delighted to bring that same ethos to Burnley.

"It has been a true labour of love to transform this magnificent building from an empty shell into a venue worthy of its name."

In Burnley town centre there are many historic buildings. Respected architect, William Waddington designed many of these in the 19th century based on the popular ‘Italianate’ style. (It would appear he embraced this further by naming his son William Angelo!). So it seems fitting that one of the finest examples of his work is now set to become The Palazzo Lounge Bar & Restaurant.

In The Palazzo Lounge Bar & Restaurant we are offering a prestigious destination catering for your needs throughout the day. Whether that be;

- A light lunch
- A pizza from our 'in house' wood fired oven
- A cake & a cappuccino
- An evening dinner
- Or a drink with 'Il Cichetti' at any time of day in our lounge bar

We will be opening daily from 12.00 noon until late, serving a variety of dishes – some aptly named in recognition of the buildings original purpose. Please take a look at our Italian Menus.

"I'm very positive. I feel very honoured to have a place like this. I'm extremely excited & I want to see it alive."

We look forward to welcoming you to The Palazzo in Burnley & want you to join us in being a part of a new chapter in this building's history. I wonder if Mr. Waddington ever thought it would be an Italian restaurant...
